What is Transitional Life Coaching?
Transitional Life Coaching is a specialized form of coaching designed to support individuals as they navigate significant changes and transitions in their personal and professional lives. These transitions can include major life events such as marriage, divorce, retirement, becoming an empty nester, having children, job changes, or any other pivotal moments that require adjustment and growth.
In a world where trauma and challenges are common, Transitional Life Coaching acknowledges the emotional and psychological impacts these experiences can have. It provides compassionate and structured support to help individuals overcome obstacles, manage stress, and find clarity and direction during periods of change.
Trauma is deeply personal, defined by each individual, and can encompass a wide range of events and circumstances. It may include a significant single event or extend to complex issues such as sexual assault, divorce from a narcissist or raising children in the world today. I do believe that everyone encounters trauma within their lives that can effect life transitions and inhibit those to move forward.
Drawing from my extensive training and firsthand experience as a former law enforcement officer, I understand that trauma affects the whole person. Trauma survivors don’t have ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ reactions; they have normal reactions to profoundly abnormal events. As a Life Transitional Coach, I walk alongside my clients, offering unwavering support and encouragement. Together, we identify, clarify, and create a vision for what you want to achieve on your path to moving forward.
Many clients may already be working with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health care providers. What I bring as a coach is an extra layer of support, a peer-to-peer connection that complements and enhances the existing care you’re receiving. Let me come along side of you on your journey toward resilience, recovery, and a brighter future.
